7 utterly shameless brands who hijacked the #LoveHate hashtag
IN CASE YOU were hibernating in a cave, the latest season of Love/Hate premiered last night. People can’t stop talking about it and it’s still the top trending hashtag in Ireland this morning.
Therefore it was only a matter of time before some brands got in on the chatter for some good old-fashioned attempts at viral marketing.
1. Aer Lingus advertising flights from Dublin to Malaga and assuring us there’ll be no trouble.
2. Getting a subtle plug in for dental implants there.
Whoops!
We couldn't find this Tweet
3. This is a bit desparate, Ryanair.
4. Coolaboola!!!
5. Tenuous enough link there, guys.
6. Round of applause to this chemist for advertising head lice treatment.
7. This breathalyser company asking a Nidge parody account to install a breathalyser in the bar.
Full marks for opportunism, we suppose.
Russian road rage attempt fails miserably >
Love/Hate draws even bigger TV audience than last year >
